Our mental health counseling interns are graduate-level clinicians completing advanced clinical training as part of their Master’s programs in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy. Intern clinicians provide counseling and psychotherapy services in Columbus, GA and through virtual therapy across Georgia while working under direct clinical supervision. Each intern is carefully selected and supported to ensure clients receive ethical, compassionate, and evidence-based mental health care.
At Refinery Counseling Services, intern clinicians are fully integrated into our team-based care model. They participate in structured supervision, case consultation, and ongoing training with licensed supervisors to maintain quality, accountability, and professional standards.
For clients who are open to working with an intern therapist, this can be a meaningful and effective option that offers supportive, faith-centered, and professionally guided counseling while also helping develop the next generation of mental health clinicians.
